I would love to run that, but I am already in a Master test in Texas. Good luck with the trial! Is Mr. Tom judging?

Tom will be one of the judges. Mark, you should have come to the meeting Saturday. We toured the grounds and even got in a round of sporting clays. Beautiful place and Mr. Kenny Allison is a wonderful host.

Could you explain or post a link about "novice class" ie what is expected of dog and handlers in this class?

I was doing the same thing getting ready for our Bay Area test in Lillian, AL this weekend.

Marty,

This is our first trial and we didn't want to jump off into an open stake. The "novice" has more to do with the number of dogs that can be run and it also will help to qualify them to run in an open stake. As far as judging, the dogs are judged on the same attributes no matter what class they run in. I have included the link to the AGC site that deals with field trials, hope this helps.

Also, the retrieves tend to be little more straightforward in the novice class than in an open.

Hey CC !!!!!

What you talkin bout Willis???

Stinger is now a gentleman. Last month I took him to Petco since they said pets are welcome. He eased up to a display of fancy fluffy dog toys on the end of an isle and hiked his leg on 'em.......with a "sales associate" watching. I decided to cancel the usual Eukanuba purchase and get out of there before I had to buy a whole display worth of gay dog sqeaky toys.
