I saw one milling around Quitman Co. about a month ago. We have some @ SArdis Lake but that was the first one I have seen away from the lake. I watched him for about 20 minutes with binoculars. It was pretty cool.

You did have good day. You saw a bald eagle and mallards on the dead sea res. Anyone one who saw mallards in their face on the res. had a good and rare day.
I've seen the eagle there. It is a sight to watch.

Wow you did have a good day like OU said seeing an eagle is cool but having mallards in yo' face on the pearl is astonishing! Especially this year!
I've seen a Baldie over there by the wma north of Hwy 43 just hanging out I wonder if its the same one or if there are several/few over here. It would give me chills to see one take a mallard out of the air like I hear they do on occasion. Hey weimhunter was that on opening day? Just messing w/ you welcome aboard. I've seen several over near brooksville and on the Tenn Tom, saw three at one time on the TT circling around, majestic aren't they? Not bad for a national symbol/iocn.

We've got a few here at Okatibbee WMA..never tried to get a duck (well ya gotta shoot one first), or a decoy for that matter...Nice to watch soaring around!
I may go to Heaven, or I may go to hell....But one thing is for certain..It'll be after Duck season!!
