Sandbars on the river

I have read the "public waterways" thread several times but could not get an understanding on sandbars within the natural banks of the river. Can you hunt these? Can you set up full bodies and hunt the sandbars? There is still alot of grey area to me on what are "natural banks".

they are owned by someone but most don't care if you hunt them. They won't take the time to coem out there..

That's what I was thinking too but I wasn't real sure. I think the owner's property line actually runs to the middle of the creek/river in most cases. Therefore the sandbar is part of his property. But like Jelly said, most owners don't care, or don't know. I would imagine that you would get ran off if the owner is deer hunting nearby and you start shooting a bunch at some ducks. I could see them getting pissed then.

The only problem you might have is if a hunting club deer hunts them.

Too many ways you can get in trouble for it to be worth it. Got different laws and LEOs on both sides to worry about.
