I kinda enjoyed the Delta Outing Club! If we go to The Willows, I will have to buy some LL Bean khaki pants, a Bob Allen shooting vest, and some Orvis shooting gloves. Can you shoot in tennis shoes there?

For the "where" in Jackson (if anyone is interested) here's a suggestion. Right outside of Jackson about ten minutes from North Jackson is Flora, and in Flora there is a shooting park called Kearney Park. There you can shoot at a skeet range, and sporting clays range or if you choose hunt quail (all in tennis shoes 
). I've been there a few times and it is an enjoyable experience with fun to be had for all. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

How affordable it is in Flora...I think it costs us like $3-5 per round in Starkville.....

I WOULD JOIN FOR SURE, KEARNEY PARK IS A GREAT PLACE AND IF THIS DOES HAPPEN I HAVE PLENTY OF 3.5# 2'S IF ANY OF YOU NEED SHELLS OR WILL STEEL EVEN KNOCK A CLAY OUT OF THE SKY

I'm not sure what you mean by per round I'm guessing on the skeet range every time you go through.? At kerney park I paid fifty bucks and got to shoot as much as I wanted on skeet and sporting clays all day. this was with a group of about thirty of us. The dude there is really easy to get along with and I'm sure he'll work out a good deal for everybody. I can give him a call and find out if the jackson percentage rises. come on Quackers give me a vote (this politicing isn't hard to do I just don't want to deal with any lobbyist today).

Hell bring 30 guys to my house at $50 each and you can all shot all day too! I could probably turn a $1000 profit provided the equipment was paid for. Regardless, I am in no matter where it is held, provided it does not conflict with work.

Bustin', these get-togethers require someone stepping up, declaring when, where, how much, and writing a check to get a location locked in. Until that happens the topic will swirl like a boat with one oar in the water. You either can make it there or not. No date, time or loaction will ever align with us all.
Everybody's full of ideas, me included, but it's hard to find the time to get sumpin going and see it through. It becomes a part time side project, just ask Anat.
The poll and get together idea is fun and a good idea, but it's gonna take a lot more to make it happen. Stop by the store and we'll bounce some ideas around. What about the skeet/trap range at the Navy base Meridian? Do they still allow civvies the use of it, or has security issues got it clamped down?

I'd thought about that..But it's only 2 houses...Don't think it's all that fancy..meaning Skeet only...2 birds on one side..2 birds on the other...I'll check on it..Yes I believe civilians can use the range....As for security..I'll have to check on that one too..It might be to much of a pain in the booty to full w/ the base...With guns coming on and all..But I'll can check...
As for the floating of the idea ..that's why we are gonna try to see now..if there is even any interest...The plan has to start sometime...
We are not putting on a banquet..just a friendly get together..Sure there is a lot of planning and such and people need to committ if we need to reserve a place...If some folks want to come great..those that don't for whatever reason..that's fine too...Nobody's gonna go to the devil if they don't show..I'll try to catch ya at the store to see what ideas ya got...

Bustin'... it takes allot of work to put one of these things on... I handled allot of the arrangements for the Tunica outing two years ago.
the question needs to be, not where would you like to have it, but what places would you NOT come to.
Tunica is a fun place, but a couple of hours from the delta, and 5 hours for our gulf coast boys. The casinos can be a blast, but....
Starkvegas is not the easiest place to get to, especially for the delta boys. But if the majority of the people that can come, will go there... might be a good option.
Jxn is central, but dont know if the majority of people are from there or that area. Hey, we could all get together and go shop at Mean Mallard and gripe at Jeff Speed..... oh, yeah -- he is no longer there. Its a 3 hour drive for us northern boys, and a short hop for the starkvegas & delta croud.

Bustin' there is a place just outside of Brandon called Springwater Ranch that has 5 different shooting scenerios, a friend of mine is a member I can ask him what they would charge and its not far from Jackson.
