Took my little brother and a friend this morning again and the ducks were flying a little slower but we managed to shoot a few. I shot a canvasback (hen) right off the bat that came zipping through before the boys were ready then a scaup tried to zoom by us again and the boys still weren't ready so I popped it. Buck brought it back and it ended up being a double banded duck, my first two bands!! No reward band, just two regular federal bands but I could care less! I was pretty pumped and it was even more special my little brother was there. This is the third hunt i've been on this season where banded ducks have been killed so far. They ended up shooting a few birds and we all got cold and decided to call it an early morning and head to Shoney's. It was a pretty good morning this morning! Gonna relax a little while then head to a deer stand this afternoon to see if we can't get a couple meat deer!
