Went squirrel hunting this morning before church and killed a limit of fox and gray squirrels in a little over an hour out of 200 yard circle. I forgot how much fun squirrel hunting was. I can't wait for my youngin to get old enough so I can take him and enjoy that time. Anyone ever squirrel hunt anymore? It was popular when i was growing up but it just seems like its kind of faded out over the years.

we have the fewest squirrels here in the hills this year i've ever seen. get your son a 3 inch .410 or a .28 ga to hunt them with. the 28 is a great little squirrel gun. and yes, the shells are high but you can't be a sport for nothing.

I usually go a few times after deer and duck season closes. I think squirrel hunting is the best way to teach a young child how to hunt. I can usually tell who was brought up squirrel hunting when I walk through the woods with a hunting buddy. If he breaks every twig on the ground and drags his feet, he wasn't brought up squirrel hunting. If he walks slowly on the balls of his feet and rolls them in with precise footing to not pop twigs and crunch every leaf, his daddy taught him to squirrel hunt at a young age.

crowd, look on gunsamerica.com and that other gun auction site. i was on them the other night looking at the .28 ga guns and there's several out there for sale but they aren't cheap. i saw a few 1148's that i thought were reasonable. the cheapest ones weren't ribbed barrels but would still make a wonderful squirrel gun. you can even buy new ones with screw in chokes if you set your satchel down. i have 2 1100's and one 1148. that's how much i think of them.

I used to squirrel hunt during my deer huntin lunch break. Ive been several times this year, problem is the loggers cleaned out every hardwood at my camp this year and i refuse to try and kill skirls in the pines.

But I go with friends etc...

You know I hunt the hell out of them. I love getting to hunt them with my dad.

Lets go over to the club before yall get wide open in the field and kill us a few. If not, I'll meet you in Minter City and we can hunt them there. Got a honey hole squirrel set up there that is unbelievable year after year.

Can't find any at the club. Our acorns and pecans didn't make this year. I wouldn't mind going somewhere and blasting a few.
