New Drake Waders

Bought a pair of Drake MST waders last year and was satisfied with them....could have used a longer inseam and a more room in the knee area(I'm 6'3"), very stiff to walk in, but overall a very functional pair of waders with all the pockets..hand warmer... shell loops. Two weeks ago I tore a hole in my Lacrosse and ordered a new pair of Drake's, I got 14s last year for a longer inseam and more room, but usually wear a 13... all they had left this year was 13s so I ordered them thinking they would be tighter but I needed waders.....Drake has added, I'm guessing 2 to 3 inches of inseam and a lot more room in the knee.... no issues at all walking in these... Looks like Drake has addressed all the issues they had and has in my opinion a great product.

They will rip and the zipper will break. I just got my new pair from them after my old ones tore up and after two hunts they are about to rip again in the knees.

I tore a hole about the size of my thumb in my Red Heads this year. Didn't want to buy new waders, so I tried AquaSeal. Awesome product. No leak since applying it. Try it on your Lacrosses if you still have them. Stuff works!

Had my Drakes for 3 seasons. Sprung a leak about half way through the season, so just gonna wait this one out and buy some more waders in the off season. I was satisfied with these. If I can get a pair to last 2 full seasons its a miracle anyway. The only complaint I had was the weight. They are a pain when walking as much as we do.
If you see a pic floating around that looks like some guy in the group peed his pants, then thats me with my leaky waders!!

Hope you have better luck with your pair than I have. Both knees are busted in the seams and my left chest pocket has the bottom come out of it. Never put anything in this pocket but my phone only to see it fall strait out the bottom and make a splash. Never hunted in anything other than knee deep water then went on one hunt in wast deep water and crotch was leaking. Will be sending them back after this weekend and won't be getting another pair. All this happened after hunting in them for 3 weeks. Plus the customer service has been awful. For them to value their products that much with high prices, they should own up to the flaws in them. And treat their customers with a little more respect once they have problems out of THEIR product. Why in the he!! would they put that crappy of a seam in the knees. Sorry for the rant.

Mine leak in the crotch from around the seams pretty bad. Maybe a dozen hunts in them and the first this year over the knee. I wore water proof pants and it wasnt as bad, but just sucks knowing you have to shell out for some more waders.

Drake waders, day 1, bad leak in crotch, took them back to store and they swapped them(thumbs up Sports Center in Starkville)
2nd pair of Drake Waders, fine first 3 hunts started leaking in boot on 4th, leaking in boot and knee before 8th hunt.
E-mailed Drake about it and never heard a word. Two thumbs down to Drake Customer Service.

I have the LST drake waders. Everything ok except for the stitching coming loose on the top left shell holder after 2 hunts. I have seen more than a couple pairs that have leaked the first time they were put in the water. Most of them were the stitching coming loose. Only issue I've seen so far.

my new waders came from Mack's Prairie Wing and i got the actual Macks brand and they have been very good to me, no leaks, warm and heavy duty.
last year i used some Lacrosse waders adn they started leaking just below the navel, but we did hunt alot of ice and i recall breaking ice doing a high knee step and belly pushing sheets out of the way to clear a hole. . . could have cut them then. could be how you use them on how they leak, aka, thorny brush, ice, etc.

Lacrosse Brush Tuff, have been excellent for me. Probably been hunting ten years in this one pair, no leaks. I have busted ice, hiked through some tough thickets, and most anything else that needed doing to get there. I have cared for them after the hunt, drying and hanging correctly. Sorry to hear the Drake issues I was considering them. I guess I will just get another pair of the Lacrosse, just in case the ones I'm wearing develop an issue.
