Awesome customer service experience

Postby lipsplitter39654 » Fri Feb 25, 2011 12:17 pm

My wife and I both have the otter box defender case for our heros. she has had hers for about 1 year and mine i have had for about 6 months. Both have torn in the exact same spot on the front left side of the rubber cover that goes over the hard plastic part. My wife called them earlier today and she was caller #41 on hold. She left a message and within 10 minutes we received a call back from them. I talked with the caller and explained the problem. She didnt ask how long ago we bought them or for a proof of purchase or anything. She stated that she would ship 2 new covers to us asap. I have already received an email confirmation stating that the order was processed. This is the way customers should be treated. This experience is right up there with the customer service I have gotten from Costa, Leupold and others and that is the reason I continue to buy their products. Just thought I would share this....

Thank you. This makes me feel better, seeing as I have just bought 2 Otter Box Commuter Series covers for our Blackberry Torch's.

Thats great. Its too bad that you still have a piece of $hit for a phone. My wife and I both have HTC Heros and they are by far the worst phones either one of us have ever owned. We both had iphones but we had to switch to Cell South about six months ago because of the poor AT&T coverage in our area. We were told that the Hero was the closest thing they had to an iphone. Man those things suck!

Kinda reminds me about my experience with Cabelas several months ago......I ordered 2 jackets they had on sale and after about 2 weeks I noticed a small hole where the seam had split near one of the pockets. I called cabelas and asked what I needed to do and the lady said she would ship out a brand new one to me the next day and I could just keep the old one and do with it what I wished. She even let me get a different color so I would not have two of the same.

That is what customer service is supposed to be like!!

I know that I am resuracting an old thread, but I gotta because of what just happened last week. My wife and I have the Commuter series for our Crackberries, and mine broke on the slide portion of the case. I called and left a message, and in less than 5 minutes I had a call back telling me that they are going to send me a new case - no questions asked. According to the confirmation email I got, it should be here sometime this week or early next week. We'll see.
