That's a Grant!!!!!

My wife told me not to fill up my truck the other day because gas was too expensive. But I had to yesterday because I was completely empty and we are going out of town tomorrow. And wouldn't you know it, gas prices jumped $0.13 a gallon! It's as if they know when I need to buy gas, and raise the price just for me!

I have never spent $50.00 for a tank of gas in my life! But I sure did yesterday. And I ain't driving a Suburban, F250, Semi-gargantuan anything! I drive a freakin' Escape! (A wannabe Explorer) I would expect to pay that much if I drove an 8 cylender, Super Duty, 3/4 ton behemouth, but an Escape?!?!?!?

Jimminy Christmas! That's a Grant! It's 2 Jacksons and a Hamilton! It's 10 Big Lincolns! It's 50 Washingtons, or 200 Washingtons - Depending on how you look at it!

Sorry, but I just had to rant. My vent is now over. Thank you.

I hear ya...I had a 25ooHD 4x4 a few years ago when gas so high, so I bought a scooter/moped (Yamaha 125 Vino). Yeah its not cool if your friends see you on it, you can't go on the interstate (lakeland is ok), etc. But it only cost me $3000 for the bike and the full year of insurance. The kicker.....I got about 70mpgs on that bad boy. It had a 1.2gal tank that needed to be filed up maybe twice a week. thats under $10/week on gas. Also I am a semi large fella and the little scooter still got up to 55mph with me on it. Probably one of the best investments I've ever made. Probably going to break that bad boy out soon...

At this morning's prices, it would take $130.68 to fill up my truck if it were completely empty.

I put 55 bucks this past week and got 3/4 tank in my Pathfinder and it lasted a week. I've got a 26 mile commute. Definately distasteful.

My 2500HD has never liked anything but premium. It will burn twice as much of the other two grades, so, any way you slice it, it is cheaper for me to burn the high dollar stuff. When the price busts about $3.50 the pump always shuts off before I get it full. No matter how many times I fill it up it is always a real shot in the shorts!

Drive my duramax for a week. You will lose your mind on how much diesel costs. I've gotten to the point I'm about to buy a crossover carry tank in the back of my truck and fill up at the lowest I can get it, then milk that tank till it's empty.
