Hunting Lodge Pic (Escaped by the skin of our teeth)

This was the day after the river crested in Greenville. Talk about close. The lodge is 16 feet off the ground and we had about 6 inches between the floor joist and the water. Looked at it again today and the water had actually dropped about 8 inches.

We ended up extremely lucky. Truly sorry for those less fortunate. Now I just hope the levees do their jobs and hold back this water for the rest of the Delta.

It is located in Issaquena County, inside the levee, about 20 minutes from Rolling Fork. Ground elevation is approximately 117 ft., so roughly 133 at the bottom of the lodge.

I was at Catfish point yesterday and amazed that a lot of theirs are dry. There's only 3 or 4 that were dry at Merigold.
