Sounds like a .38 revolver carried by an employee or customer would have made things a lot simpler. I don't carry, but I ought to and am going to be looking into it. Idiots like this might think twice about robbing lady cashiers if they think there's a bullet with their name on it behind the counter.

With sentence carried out within 2 years. Appeal is fast tracked and you get only one if it is denied. Then it's off to the little white room for your date with the needle

I'm no policeman, but if he cut the lady's throat, shouldn't that be attempted murder?

was told by a local judge that aggrivated assault is much easier to get convicted than attemped murder, so unless they have witnesses and corroberative evidence they charge aggrivated assault instead of attempted murder.

Just info off the rumor mill, so take it for what it's worth, but I heard that he didn't even attempt to steal anything. Just walked in and tried to kill the woman.
I hope the tazed him an extra time or two, sprayed some pepper spray in place that will REALLY burn, shot him in the knee caps, and slammed his pinky fingers in the car door!

I'm told there is no attempted murder law in MS. Is that correct?

'Had to be on meth or something - no way to prepare for that other than be in the right place at the right time with adequate defense.
