Im gonna say The Shed is different, but in the summertime it is mother hummin hot. Miserable hot
Where are you staying on the coast?
In Gulfport, The Halfshell where 49 and 90 meet is a cool joint. The Blowfly Inn. Captian Als is legit. Lil Rays on Courthouse for lunch is really good. Mary Mahoneys is great too.
Bay St Louis/Waveland you have Ricky's(its a bar/dive) but has my favorite dish called trout treasures...some kind of awesome.....then you have that little joint downtown. Also, Trapanis is really good.
Ocean Springs you have Govt street Grocery, Phonecias(awesome), and Macelorys on the bayou

The Blow Fly Inn. You will be glad you went !
It's all good but be sure to try the Shrimp and Grits and the fried softshell crab if they have them.

I couldnt help but laugh when I read that and then see the comment from DUCK...
He was being honest and letting some country boys know not to walk in there and get blind sided..

Vrazel's is good. Chimney's in Gulfport beats Mary Mahoney's hands down in my book, much cooler atmosphere and the food/service is awesome.

Blow Fly Inn was very disappointing for us. Food was average, bill was outstanding. The White Cap is back and was decent for lunch. There's a place on D'iberville called New Orleans Cafe (I think) and it's decent. Trapani's over in Bay St. Louis used to be awesome. It wasn't quite as good last time we went and I've read some bad reviews but they should be back on the beachfront in a new building.
Check Urban Spoon, should help you find some good places.

+1 good atmosphere and great quessadillas!!!!! There is a bunch of good places to eat down here. The shed has turned into a tourist trap. Prices are up and quality is down. Cool place if you've never been, but nothing like it was before brad got famous...
