West Point Tattoo

Postby fieldt76 » Mon Jun 27, 2011 1:49 pm

I know there is a fairly famous artist in West Point. Does anyone know his name, the name of his shop, or have his number?

Yes from what I hear Koon is very good. I have never had any work done by him, but a guy in my church is having a sleeve done and it looks AWESOME!!!

I got a tribal band around my right biceps when I was in the service, I pretty much hate it now. I figue if this guy Coon is as good as everyone says he is, he can turn it into something worth having.

What exactly would be a world record for a tattoo artist?

I think he holds records for speed - fastest tattoo/most tattoos in a given timeframe (I remember reading about it in the Columbus Dispatch awhile back). I haven't seen any of his work and can't comment on it's quality - but I always thought it was funny that anyone would want a really fast tattoo. Considering how long you're going to have it, I would be much more concerned with quality than speed.

BINGO!!! He holds or held the recored for fastest full back piece by himself (that by the way was pretty dang good) and also for the team back piece. He was telling me a story of doing a tat on a guys tallywacker when I went there. If you go be sure to ask him the story. Pretty funny.

Wait a minute! This dude does tattoos on Johnsons AND he's got a 'speed record' for tattooing?!?!?!?   You know, if I was to put a tattoo on someone's junk, I guess I'd be pretty quick at it too.
