I've shot Muzzy 4-blade 100 grain for several years. I've been reading all the hype about the Rage 2 blades. Any opinions? Reasons to switch? Reasons to stay?

I could not get muzzy's to fly consistent. Switched to rage and they fly just like a field point. The cutting diameter is way better with a rage. I have had muzzy to it all depends on shot placement.

If you like dependable, tough, sharp, REUSABLE, broadheads stick with the muzzy or a fixed blade,

if you like, not dependagle, not very sharp, easy to break, one time use, $44 per 3 then buy the rage, Oh and make sure you don't shoot them up clost to heavy shoulder bones, you better stick him in the ribs.

Some outfitters in the mid west don't allow clients to shoot rage.

There is or use to be an outfitter in Mississippi that frowned on muzzy. Even named there tracking dog "muzzy"

It's 6 one way half a dozen the other.....shoot what YOU have the most confidence in!

If you go to the store to buy broadheads right now they will most likely be sold out of Rage and still have Muzzy....wonder why?

Because you can buy replacement blades for Muzzy and have to buy a whole new pack of Rages when you break them.

Fad..........like chapstick on a call lanyard

Ask yourself this..........who has been in business longer? Muzzy will be here after the rage fad is over. That being said, try you some slick tricks....i wasnt impressed with the "look" out of box, but man they are nasty

Shot both. Could never get muzzy's to stay consistant. I shot the 3 blade rage's and they were devastating as long as you shoot the deer in the ribs. Shot 2 small does in the shoulder at 20 yards and it didn't come close to penatrating. Never shot them again. Switched to a 100 gr Slick Trick Grizztrick with the 1 1/4" cutting diameter 4 blade fixed blade. Solid steel (unlike the weaker aluminum in Muzzy's that often lose their tunability if used more than once), fly like a field point, strong, reusable, and have been absolutely THE best broadhead I've ever shot. They are by far the best of every world in broadheads. Absolutely deadly, reusable, and fly like a field point. Oh, and they are almost half the price of Rage's. Bass Pro had them on sale for about $20 last week.

I shot a 100lb doe Sunday in Tennessee where it broke her shoulder and still made a clean pass through. Didn't make it 50 yards.

If you want a mechanical.....check out Shwacker over the rage. You can't hardly ever find Shwackers.....so if you see them get them. You can see them on all of Hank Parker's films.
