Ha Ha. Thats pretty funny. The ATO's at Ole Miss got kicked off campus, and there charter revoked a several years ago for something like this. My question is, "Who reported them?"

that is no where near blackface. Not even close. there isn't a family that is farther than the singing minstrel than the Huxtables. Once again political correctness wins over common sense and decency.

Had to read up on blackfacing and had no idea the historical significance of the simple act of painting your face black to be in costume as a black person. Even after all the reading, still don't understand why it's such a negative thing, esp when you are portraying a tv show cast. What if some blacks dressed up as the characters from "Friends" complete with white face? It would be hilarious, not something to chastize them for.

So any of you that paint your face to hunt ever been accused of blackfacing?

I told my students (public high school) that I though this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381707/ was racist and they told me I was crazy. They swore up and down if some whites dressed as blacks nobody would care.

I read some of the discussion threads and one post said the black sororities are supporting the girls. There was discussion, and I think a good point, that the younger generation has moved beyond this. In order for something to be "racist" there has to be intent. It's pretty obvious these girls had no intent yet the University can't and won't tolerate even the appearance of racism. There's to much knee jerk reaction these days to even the smallest of things.

After reading the thread title, this is definitely not the naughty sorority girl thread that I thought it was going to be....
