What do you think it is? the first picture is just to show you that its not a vine or limb or any other part of the tree.

Imagine climbing that tree early one morning and finding that thing waiting for you. Yikes.

Why is a picture from Feb of 09 just making its way to the internet?

I wish I knew how to work Photoshop. Only thing I did was brighten it. I didn't get this from anybody in an email. I pulled this straight off the SD card in the camera.

I believe you, the only thing it could be is a python. In order to have that much showing and still wrap around the tree enough to hold on it would have to be ten feet long.

I am gonna say python, or boa. During the floods this spring some people had to evacuate on short notice. It would not be all that far fetched that pet snakes left behind would escape and could have drifted/swam a good distance. Just my opinion.

I know they have a big problem with pythons in Florida. They actually have a breeding population in the Everglades. I'd hate to start having that problem. I saw a National Geographic special that said the climate in South Florida closely resembled the climate where these snakes are from. I don't know if they could survive the winters here.
