Where can I find if there is any state requirments that "stop" hunting inside the (MS River) levee once the river reaches a certain stage?
I have looked for 20 min and came up empty.
I am certain there is regulations somewhere.... in print.....
I am primarily referring to "deer hunting", but other hunting like "ducks" I also wonder when "they" cut hunting off.

Is there a certain river stage that is a "line-in-the-sand" that you must not be caught hunting beyond a certain water level?

I think it has to get a lot higher than it is predicted for them to do anything.
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

I believe I have seen it written that 42 at Helena shuts deer hunting down behind the Levee in Coahoma County. 44 is flood stage. It has been awhile and my memory is kind of dim on the issue.

I have it in my public notice book. I'll post it when I get it out of the truck.

Short version of it is anytime the game is pushed from their natural habitat. I do believe they tried to come up with a common figure to some guages, but I have never seen it. But if all your deer are pushed up on a ridge with no way out but to swim i would say that means CLOSED!

When the river gets to the flood stage it shuts down. Different areas go off different gauges. We use Arkansas city.37 is our flood stage
If your gonna trespass, you had better be good! Or have a good boat!
