Recommendations on Spec Calls

Postby redmondandmelvin » Sat Nov 29, 2014 1:41 pm

want to get a good call. Use Echo for ducks but not sure how their spec call is. Looking at the RNT and Echo.

Riceland polycarb

Best speck call I've ever used.

I still have yet to find a call that sounds as good as a retuned PS Olt Fox/Coyote call. However those are next to impossible to find these days so I would suggest either a chien caillie or the Riceland. Both of them sound outstanding and are hard to beat wouldn't even consider anything else.

If you want something different that sounds great, I can put you in touch with a guy in NE AR making a custom speck call. Brass guts in either black micarta or corian barrel and insert. I have one on the lanyard this year. It's as good as the leaders in this group of calls.
Never assume.

this one is really easy...i'm assuming it and the predator call are based on the same tone board, as it can sound easily like a coyote call.

Randall, yes his last name is Short. Kris, here's a pic. I'm impressed with the call. Not recommending it just because it's different. Image

I have a Redbone and a Riceland. Put them both away and started blowing the RNT Barbelly. Easiest yet I have found to use.
