LSU fans...

Postby pondman » Mon Sep 26, 2016 11:49 am

I can't believe no one has started a thread on this yet. LSU fans what are your thoughts on the Les getting shown the door? Coach O taking over for the rest of the season? Who will be hired?

Art Briles. Football fans of that school have no shame.

The big names floating right now are of course, Herman and Jimbo Fisher. I want nothing to do with nor have I heard any fans wanting Briles or Petrino. Actually, lots of the opposite with many fans saying no way do they want Briles. Lots of talk about Coach Bebe having a long interview for the rest of the season. Lots of reports saying LSU will gauge interest in Saban, Urban and Stoops, but I can't see any of them making a lateral move.

With it being the middle of the season, probably not going to hear much from anybody. Will be interesting.

Saban now the longest tenured coach in the SEC.

I remember when everyone said he wouldn't be there more than 3 years.

Since then he's run everyone else out in some way.

I will miss Les. The annual beatings were becoming easier and easier.

What makes this a lateral move for Saban? Seems like it would definitely be a few steps down.

From where Bama is, would be a slight step down. But from most national opinions, LSU is a Top 5-10 job. Bama right now is now doubt a Top 3 job. LSU has the resources to compete year in and year out with the best in the country.
