Prayers
Re: Prayers
not mushy at all, joel. I've been weepy all day and find myself quite angry at times.
Experience is a freakin' awesome teacher...
Re: Prayers
Never had the pleasure of meeting him, but he was a major part of this board when i joined. such a tragedy to lose a young man who obviously was a good huband, father and son. Prayers sent
There will be a day....

I liked his avatar and always chuckle when I think that at the root of his hijinks was a computer nerd.

Re: Prayers
Very sad indeed. My heart aches for Mandy and Noah. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

dukluk - Vickers is going with Mandy this morning to work on arrangements, so we'll know asap.
This one hurts boys.....hurts bad. The only thing I can figure is that heaven was in need of a duck hunting lover, computer nerd, heart of gold type man yesterday so God called our friend home.
Those are some great pictures. I had the pleasure to share a blind or two with Ronnie that I'll forever cherish now. The pictures below are from a couple of years ago when we shared a ditch bank. The Speck was a first for Ronnie & it almost landed in his lap. It was awesome!
Ronnie had invited me to hunt with him on the last day this season, but I took sick & couldn't make the hunt. Had I known that would have been my last chance to hunt with him, I would have made myself get out of the sick bed to hug a tree with that dude!

Re: Prayers
Never met Ronnie, but when I saw his avatar flipping me the bird on every post, I figured I could probably get along with him just fine. I've got a boy Noah's age, and looked him up on Facebook so I could see in my mind who I was praying for. Heart hurts so bad for that little guy.

Re: Prayers
Hated to hear this. Met Ronnie a couple of times. Prayers for his family and the guys that were close to him. Amazing the connection this board makes you feel towards folks, especially back in the good ole days.

Re: Prayers
+1 Because of this board, I felt like I had known Ronnie for years before we ever met in person. I called him up one day 5 years ago to ask about a PC issue at home and he dropped what he was doing on a Saturday, drove 35+ miles to my house and sat in my kitchen and fixed my laptop, having never met me before that day. I tried and tried to pay him, but he wouldn't accept a penny. A few weeks later, I brought him in to my office to meet with my partners, and we hired him on the spot to handle our IT needs. He sure didn't look the part, but he was a great IT/computer nerd. Always professional and efficient, he helped us with some major upgrades to servers and computers and was always available for my stupid questions. We talked hunting often, but regrettably never actually made a hunt together. I was supposed to take him turkey hunting last spring and I never made time......DoubleBandMS wrote: Amazing the connection this board makes you feel towards folks, especially back in the good ole days.
