One of our long time Duck South members and dear friend left us today. Mr. RJohnson is now in the graces and arms of our good Lord. Please keep him and his family in your prayers during this time. He will be missed.

Ronnie was one of the best, and one of the best friendships i've developed from this board. We're all hurting right now, but it makes me sick to think that Noah's not gonna have his daddy at home tonight. That dude loved his family.
Love ya, brother, and miss you dearly already.

Ronnie was one of the best there is - period. The man was as genuine as the come. His death will leave a big void in this world in my opinion.
Many prayers to Mandy, Noah & the rest of his family.
RIP buddy.

First thing that came to my mind when I heard was what you just described. how much he loved his son and wife. My heart hurts for them as I couldn't imagine what they're going through.
Prayers up.

Sad day for sure. I got the news at lunch and have been sick about it ever since. I enjoyed the hunts we shared and conversations we had about duck hunting. Fly high Ronnie, we'll see you again on the other side some day.

+1 on this. I can't really add much. When I heard about an hour ago, it was like a kick in the gut. I immediately went to this site, hoping somehow it wasn't real. Today also would have been the 35th birthday of a friend I lost in high school. Kind of a double whammy today.

Anyone who had the pleasure of sharing a blind, pit, boat, or tree with Ronnie knows that you couldnt ask for a finer friend and hunting buddy. Always pleasant, always witty, always the family man, and ALWAYS the duck hunter!
My son and i had the privilege of hunting with Ronnie and his family over the last few years. He loved to talk about his little family. Mandy, Noah, and Ronnie loved spending time at the camp together. He wanted to show them the sport he loved and wanted them to experience the excitement he felt with " In yo face" time. He had many expressions that came out during a good hunt. Many of you have witness his " Leroy Jenkins- surprise mofo, etc, etc" He had to many sayings to count.
Its going to be a big void for many of us that called Ronnie "tha Gangsta" Johnson friend.
