Very good list right there. there is a chance i would drop Domilese's and go to Tracy's. I really like Tracy's for what it is. A nice bar, with great food.

There are many more! After you eat if you want to hear some good local music head down to the bywater and walk the streets till you hear something you like then go in, sit down, order a drink and enjoy nola.

Headed to New Orleans for my honeymoon this weekend and found this thread while searching the board. Good info folks.

We are also headed to the WW2 Museum, Christmas in the Oaks.

I dug this one up since I'll be heading to NOLA Monday on business for one night. Where would you guys recommend for the best shrimp and grits or etoufee? I've been looking around different places and they all sound pretty good. Just want some input from the brain trust here. We are staying at the Hampton Inn on Carondelet Street so somewhere within walking distance from there would be ideal.

Adolphos is a great old Italian place located on Frenchmen as well; or get you something at Port o Call!!

Also, Right by Jacques Imo's is Squeal BBQ. I haven't made my self not go to Jacques and stop there, but it smells amazing. It was featured on Food Network in one or two shows.

After Stennis, might consider Bay St Lois. Several good places to eat.

Have not been down there in a year but we love Mr. B's Bistro and a new one from Brennan group called Tableu.

Best po' boy in Louisiana - Verti Marte on the corner of Royal & Governor Nicholls.
Get it with their special mayo & hot sauce. Order at the back, wait a while for the food to be done, buy a PBR in the store, go out side, sit yo' asss on the curb & enjoy one of the finest meals you'll have all week. They will also deliver anywhere near the French Quarter - my suggestion is to call around lunch and get a fifth of vodka, pack of Marlboro Reds, hot chips, a shrimp po'boy & a 6 pack of Budweiser. Start the afternoon off right.

Take the trolley up Canal bout 2.4 miles and go to "Katie's". Crawfish Beignets and Oysters Schlessingier

Don't overlook the Gumbo Shop.

Charbroiled oysters at Dragos will make your tongue want to beat your brains out.

Stay away from Krystal on Bourbon...
