I think the only way you will kill any ducks around that area would be to go to eagle lake and shoot ruddy ducks.

Killed 4 at Mahannah on thursday morning, 3 greenies and one teal. Sure was hot, about 7 had to come out of the drake pullover and go to tshirt only. Front fields were crowded with alots of playing around on calls by some guys and a whole lots of skybusting at what few ducks were flying. Didnt see many big flights and there werent many ducks sitting on the refuge. Hate to think about what it might be like tomorrow. Hopefully when i come back in two weeks we will have a few more ducks.

Denduke, it sounds like the people at Mims-Mitchell want to talk to you. I don't think I have to tell you that's private. But on the other hand, as long as Uncle Walt advertises the place, what he's killin and where, he pretty much just drew everyone a map, why not. How could any self-respectin duck killer resist.
You gotta get in and get out quick, huh?

My access to areas of Mahannnah are limited, by my choice. The road I was referring to is the main road past the north south levee which the deer hunters tried to traverse from the road which has been the boat launch, lately. I never try the back woods that I think you are referring to, except the part that's on the WMA. Although I have a good friend who owns land/member in Mims Mitchell I'd never venture there anywho. I'm mostly setup for the field deal. The reason I'm sayin anything about the place is that there ain't no ducks lately, which is very general info. More of you know the water level situation than me. I've been covered up by knotheads enough up there to keep my mouth shut about specifics. I wish ereybody else would too! Heck it's a public road near the main drag 61 in South Delta kinda easy scoutin for ereybody anyway. The key to field huntin as everyone should know is concealment. Squatin down in the field or stickin up a blind might get some pass shootin/sky blastin at best. Some will never learn. If you think I'm a tresspasser you're mistaken, Meeka.
