Monta's not going pro. He dropped out of the Reebok Roundball Classic because he had to....overbooked his all-star games.

3years ago dallas tx... texas 68 msu 64
i was at this game it was on a sun... we had thourghly handled lake charles state (mcneese st) on fri ... had the fortune of drawin texas in the secon round....
texas came out on fire couldn't miss... they got way ahead and their fans started talkin chhhiittt to me and my ole man.. hell we wuz bout the only state fans around where we were sittin... we sat there all nice and polite and out the hell numbered..
i kept thinkin we can make a comeback.. an boy did we come back from like 20.. heck i'm not sure how far we got down .. but it was substantial..
fell short of course.. thanks ncaa for the home game .. your friens from ut....
2 years ago:: birmingham ..the ocean club downtown great food.... butler heck i dont ever remeber the skor but we didn't skor many.. this loss was soley attributable to not only coach stans but also his whole staff.. we had at least 2 fouls to give.. i honestly think in the last timeout that no coach or player mentioned the possibilty of fouling.. however when butler started to bring the ball up the court;; the state bench was livid with excitment.. jumpin up an down makin the foulin motion.. screamin for us too foul... but our guys had already zoned in on d'n up and thats when they beat us.. unfortunate...
last year.. why xavier.. anybody but xavier.. we've already beat xavier..
xavier was the hottest team in the nation at the time... i truly think that this was the best state team i'd ever seen..
this year... if frazier hadn't got hurt we'd never been a 8 or 9 seed..
all excuses

Fundamental basketball, you have to hit free throws down the stretch, also, didnt like Power being the man with the ball driving the basket at the end, give it to the big man and slam it home, just looked like States last minute and a half fell apart, no plan at all hell the guys didnt even know to call a time out, its ashame because we played hard and put ourselves in position for a possible win at the end, the wheels just fell off. I think Duke was good but we just beat ourselves, dont think we could get pass the next game anyhow, and I would be willing to bet Duke wont either, unless theyb start playin a little better

bay king... the reason we couldn't call a timeout near the end is because we were out of timeouts...
gh22 have you seen monta play this year????

Yeah, I have. He has looked awesome in the games but he hasn't faced much competition this year.....except for the 2 games they lost out of state in a round robin tourney against some US Top 5 teams. It'll be good to see how he does in the micky d's game and the other one. He's not mentally and physically ready for the nba.....6' 2" guard listed at 6' 4" weighing in at 170 soaking wet instead of 185.

Ya'll lost because you played Duke and next year you are going to be young regardless of who goes pro or who quits.
Here is a interveriew clip about your Final Four run years ago.

Clip is on the left...Wall Street Journal reporter.
Now you can live in the past like Alabama fans do.

No he's not. He does not have an agent.....if he did it would be in the Clarion Liar the very next day. As of right now he is not a lottery pick and the more games he drops out of, the less of a chance he has to show off his skills.

Straight from the horse's mouth: NBA Draft website
Weaknesses: A tweener ... Lacks great size for the 2 guard position ... Doesn’t have the skills needed to play point … Desperately needs to put on weight as he’s rail thin ... A team will need to be patient with him since he isn't physically strong enough to handle the physical play of the NBA and especially a long season ... Could have trouble guarding bigger off guards ... Shot can be inconsistent at times …
He will not be a high draft pick, mid-late 1st round at best if he would go to the all star games, which he is dropping out of.
