Thanks for all the input, guys. Ended up getting the Wrangler Authority Walmart specials. They really look good and were $700.

[quote="huntersmky"]I don't understand why people don't rotate every oil change considering most people go to 5 or 6k miles b/t changes now a days. I got 82k out of a set of a BFG M/T's a few years ago and I rotated them every oil change. They still had about 10k left in them and I sold them on Craigslist for $150. Rotation is the key to longevity in a tire.

Because people tend to go to the 10 minute oil change places for an oil change and forget about tire rotation.

Every other oil change would be for 3000 mile oil changes like most people still think about. That would equal to about 6000 miles per rotation, so in essence about the same as every oil change at 6000 mile changes.

Not trying to scare you because you just bought Wal-Mart tires, but a heads up to people who buy "namebrand" tires from Wal-Mart. They are not the TRUE namebrand tires you think your buying like if you went to a tire dealer. Example: Walmart will go to Goodyear and get them to make a "cheap" Goodyear branded tire to sell at Walmart. This is how they get the cost so low. They hound companies to drop their prices so that they can in turn sell them so low. Same thing as buying certain items at Lowes or Home Depot. Those namebrand items aren't 100% namebrand. Some are built for Lowes specifically with the name branded on it.

Cooper does this with their tires too, its called Cooper Private Label. It's a Cooper tire that is built by another company other than Cooper.

Lawn mowers also :D I hate that place... I sometimes go 6+ months without ever stepping foot in one.

I'm happy with them. The Yukon is close to it's last leg (170,000 miles) so I'm just happy to have new tires (even gave the truck it's first "bath" in over a year). Even if they're "off-brands" I like the tread and they look like they'll be pretty aggressive.
